Can't print pdf file from Nitro PDF Reader using Windows XP Professional fully patched and a Samsung ML 1520 laser printer, if I close Nitro PDF Reader and open the same file in Acrobat Reader the file will print with no problems so it's not the Laptop or the printer.
Can't print a two page document or only either of the pages as said above no problem printing from Acrobat Reader.

How do I uninstall? All of my pdf files have been converted to NITRO pdf files!!
-
When you install a PDF program such as Nitro Reader or Adobe Reader, Windows then associates one of these programs to be the default program to open files with the .PDF extension.
This doesn't mean that the PDF file has now been 'converted' to a particular brand of PDF. It still remains a file with the .PDF extension, meaning that you can tell Windows what program you want to open the file with.
For instructions on how to do this, please view this article.

There is a problem with NitroPDF and printing files in horizontal format. I got a pdf file with about 8 pages. This PDF file has a button for printing the application form. In Acrobat and PDF X-Change Viewer pops up a message, that I need to use the special button to print the application form if I try to use the normal print function (CNTRL + P). I do not get it using NitroPDF Reader (nor with Foxit). Acrobat Reader is the only Reader, which just works for me.
If I try to use Nitro PDF 5 Professional (the free Chip Edition) to print the application form, nitroPDF Pro crashes. I am using Windows XP SP3 and all Updates installed. -

I also just opened a pdf file in nitro and it will not print. Click the print button it shows that it sent to printer then goes away. Everything prints in Adobe fine.

did you solve this? I am having the same prob.

I have the same problem, too. It USED to work just fine, but suddenly, it does not "print" to file; i.e., create a PDF from Open Office Calc or ODC. None of the properties in Printer have changed. I checked. I have uninstalled Reader 2 and reinstalled from a fresh download. I NEED this PDF capability. Oh, the in-board Open Office PDF creator works fine. Help?

I have to use Adobe for that, which makes it hard to use Nitro as my default PDF reader.

Here is a Nitro rep that made the following notation regarding a background print driver. This does not appear on my procedures list.
Sascha Beaumont, Official Rep, replied 10 months ago
Hi Richard,
You're correct, the application runs as a 32-bit process. However the print drivers also installed require 64-bit drivers for 64-bit operating systems - hence the two separate installers.
If you dig a little deeper, you'll notice the "NitroPDFDriverService.exe" background service is running as a 64-bit process on your system.-
Hi PGR Designs, please email me directly at firstname.lastname@nitropdf.com with more information about your system specifications and I can help you find out more information. If you run services.msc you should see a Nitro 'service' present, this will show the exact status, file and path that is running in the background.

It works! It works! It works! It works! It works!
The printer service is needed, so a reboot is needed to make the install complete. I don't reboot much :>) -

I have a couple of problems. 1. If I scan a file to pdf, then try to print to my HP 5650 printer, the printer just spits the page out with nothing on it. Nothing is in the queue.
2, I created a NitroPDF file. The pdf file creation seemed to be OK, and I could read it with no problems. But when I print the file, the text is completely mirrored! The same files print fine from Adobe. The only thing that may be strange about that is that the file was created on a 64-bit Windows 7 system and printed from a 32-bit XP SP3 system. This means I have to create the pdf with NitroPDF, but print from Adobe. That's a nuisance. -

i am using windows xp, freshly installed/updated, some files i can print , some i can't is there a solution available?

Hello Everyone,
Can you test with the new Reader 2 that was just released? I'd like to see if it helps with the printing issues.
Also, I would always recommend restarting the print spooler service if the printer won't initialize. This will just make sure it is not the problem.
# 1 Click "Start"
# 2 Click "Run"
# 3 Type in "services.msc"
# 4 Click OK
# 5 Find Print Spooler in the list of services
# 6 Click "Stop"
# 7 Once the service has stopped, restart it by clicking on "Start"
Thanks!- view 12 more comments

I never found the cause. I got PO'ed and blew away all the printer software on all the computers and installed the latest HP printer drivers everywhere. It seems to work now.

Thanks for the update, glad you managed to resolve the issue!

I experience some difficulty when printing (bizarrely you might think) to PDF Creator. The reason is that that app allows me to create JPG images of pages which I use in a website. The difficulty is in selecting the radio button in the print dialogue box for Current Page.
If I select my Epson printer first then it allows me to change. If I select the PDF Creator virtual printer it won't and it freezes the program.

I tried to submit a ticket the system reported an error and failed. Seems there is no way I can submit a ticket - can't you cut and paste it?

Hello David,
The ticket is in the system. We'll reach out shortly.
Thanks! -

I've printed from USPS Shipping Assistant for years. Today it opens the primo create dialog but the "Create" button does nothing.
Reinstalled primo, nada.
There was an update for Shipping Asst today which you have no choice but tio install. Could that have busted something?-
Hi,
This sounds like a new issue and I've escalated it to our QA department for further investigation. Thanks! -
-
It is highly likely that the update caused the problem here. You might want to check with USPS themselves. See if they have a tool implemented inside their program/site to convert their files to PDF format.
Alternatively you can try using Nitro Reader [www.nitroreader.com] and see if you can print to the Nitro PDF Creator (Reader). This might help us determine further what could be the cause. -

We are having trouble printing receipts from one company. Some of the PDF file printed but vast amounts of it are just blank. Is there anything we can do?
-
Hi James,
Can I confirm the following;
1. What version of Nitro Pro or Nitro Reader are you using to print from ?
2. What make or model printer are you trying to print from? is this a local networked printer?
3. Can I confirm if this has only recently occurred?
Thanks,

Hi Alex,
We are using version 2.3.1.1 of Nitro Reader and are printing to a Sharp MX-2700N network printer.
We have just notice this since we have been sent these receipts from this new company we're dealing with last week.
If I print it from Foxit reader it prints as it should.
Thanks
James-
Would you be able to email the pdf directly to me so I can look into it closer ?

Hi James,
Sorry for the delay, I have tested printing through our internal environment the receipt you attached to your email earlier.
When you were printing this what was being printed to your physical printer ?
It would be great if you could download the latest version of Nitro Reader 2.3.1.7, as this may deliver some improvements for you.
Let me know how you go.
Thanks,
Alex -

Hi Alex,
What was printing was basically only the outline of the document. The address block and all that sort of content was blank.
I'll try the new version and see how we get on.
Thanks
James-
Hi James,
Let me know how you go, I was definitely getting the address and all the details coming out on the PDF you supplied, I tested against a few different printers however do not have an exact match in regards to the printer you are utilizing.
Let me know how the latest version works.
Thanks,

Same problem here when it comes to printing. I use Nitro PDF Reader 2.3.1.7 in its 64 bit edition running Windows 7 Home Premium (64 bit) with the latest patches applied.
When I try to print on my USB-attached Brother HL-1450, all I get is a couple of pages, then the job stops and blocks the printer queue. The printer status says the job is being printed, but I cannot even delete it from the queue. In Adobe Reader, everything is just fine as always.
No reboot, no uninstalling and reinstalling Nitro has solved the problem. I appreciate the idea behind the program, but currently Nitro Reader is useless for me. -
-
Hi Thomas,
Sorry to hear about your printing difficulties you're having with our Reader.
Can you confirm for me if it is just with a specific PDF or all PDFs documents?
Can you try updating to the latest version 2.4.1.1 by downloading it again from http://www.nitroreader.com/download and see if that resolves your issue. If it doesn't, please send me the file so I can test it on my end. My email is binh.pham@nitropdf.com -
