Support Right to Left (RTL) languages - Hebrew, Arabic, etc.
When you add text in RTL (like Hebrew) the text is written backwards in LTR direction. When adding note you can write even bi-di text which is displayed correctly

Hi there,
We don't currently support RTL in any of our annotations. The reason the behaviour is different in the Popup is because it is using a Windows textbox control, which contains support for this.
However annotations such as 'Type Text' are controlled by our library, and we don't yet support RTL languages. In time I see this as being something on our radar, but not in the short term. -

In any Arabic PDF file when you copy text; try to paste the text in notepad (or any other text editor) the text is shown in reverse order in both words and letters (i.e each phrase is in reversed words and each words is in reversed letters)!

There are other languages that its text direction doesn't go from left to right. For example, the Arabic writing starts from right and ends on left. Can Nitro PDF Reader change the paragraph text direction?
Thanks,
MB

You might find this useful, unfortunately we don't offer left to right support in reader presently. Sorry for any disappointment.

Hello, I tried to convert a hebrew text from PDF to "Word". Well, hebrew is written from right-to-left and it turned all the words and phrases to be written left-to-right
I need to convert both texts in English and in Hebrew
Please let me know if your SW works for Hebrew texts as well and how
Thanks

Hebrew PDF text conversion to "Word".-
Hi Ruben,
We currently do not support RTL languages however it is a good idea to vote for this post here at the top, as this is where our product management team look when considering new features to include in our product.
Cheers

From my experience in the past using other programs like Acrobat and PDF to Word conversion they also don't give a perfect result. In Acrobat RTL is okay but punctuation mark are joined to the word after it.

I have tried to convert a form existing in Hebrew to Word and it is not usable. Now I have placed text fields on the pdf and tried to fill them in, but of course there is no way to change text direction. Guess I'll print and fill it in by hand because from the above it doesn't seem as if Nitro has any solution for me.

Hi Olivia,
Sorry for the frustration, hopefully we can include this feature in the near future. We'll let everyone know here when this is being included in Nitro Pro or Reader.
Thanks for your feedback!

Hello good people,
I often need to type Hebrew text and presently have to type the words backwards so that the letters appear in the correct sequence. I'm no techie but if there is any way to adjust that feature so that the text can be entered as one would ordinarily type, it would be even more fantastic than it already is!
One more suggestion would be to enable inserting symbols such as check marks, for example, since forms sometimes require checks, bullets, etc.
Other than that, your product is HUGE and I thank you for that!

Hello Orit,
I opened the topic as Chris answered me above:
"The reason the behaviour is different in the Popup is because it is using a Windows textbox control, which contains support for this.

I hope they support it in the future becasue also hundreds millions speakers of Arabic and Farsi also have this problem -
