Typed Text does not show up
I cannot see any text that I add to documents. The text color is black on a white background (other colors don't work either), the insert text box is sized around the text I type and gets larger when I change font size, yet the text is hidden. Its like I have 0% opacity turned on. How do I fix this?

Could we please have a copy of the file that you are mentioning in this post so we can try to replicate the issue on our end?

I have the same (or a similar) problem. Mine shows on the page, but it does not print. Any solutions?

Can make sure that you have 'Print:Document and Markups' selected in the Print dialog before printing. If that doesn't work, you will need to send me the file for testing.

The problem is...I can't send a copy of my file. It is a confidential document, and has information on it that cannot be given out. I could send a copy of part of the document, however...

If you can send me part of the document that is fine. As long as I can replicate the issue on my end then it should be enough.

I changed the font from what I had been using to something generic - Arial - and it now works just fine!

We just purchased Nitro Pro 7 for our office (x2) and my colleague's doesn't seem to be working right. She uses type text and it shows on screen but won't print. She DOES have Docs and Markups selected and I've made sure all her settings match mine (mine works fine). We tried to change her font to Arial (as recommended above) and that didn't help either. A solution would be most appreciated.

I've been using Nitro Reader for over 2 years and I had this same problem ~ 12 months ago. I switched fonts from Georgia to a simple Arial and have had no problems since.

Changed font to Georgia and now it works. Thanks!!

I've requested Jeff's file because I wanted to see if his problem is file specific or not.
With regards to changing the background, this isn't possible with Reader or Professional. For a workaround, you can probably draw a rectangle which is the size of the entire page and do a 'fill color'. However this feature is only available in the Professional version.
