As an amateur IT person I would like to make a suggestion for future updates
of Nitro. I think it's a great program by the way.
When I am building a new form and insert text boxes, sometimes after
completing the form I have a need to insert a new text box in an earlier
step of the process but found that the order in which people move through
the form will not accept the later change. For example if I have 50 text
boxes and want to go back and include a new box at step 20 the new box reads
as step 51 not step 21, and the rest of the boxes also need to go up one
step. Otherwise, I would have to redo the whole form.
Cheers

Hi John,
To "recalculate" the ordering, simply click on the "Tab Order" button on the ribbon. When prompted to set manually or automatically, press "No" to have Nitro automatically recalculate the ordering so that your #51 becomes #21
Hope that helps!

Greetings
I am creating and pdf form for my staff to use for conducting case assessments, and as it has lots of boxes, I did a copy and paste of the text boxes, but now find that when the data is entered it fills in the rest of the boxes with the same data at the same time. How can I get around this without having to redo the whole document?
Thanks
John-
Hi John, you will need to go through and give each text box a unique name - the PDF format will duplicate content across fields with the same name. For future reference copy/paste will always retain the same name, while the "Make Copies" tool will rename the fields (unless you tell it not to). Very handy if you're creating a similar document in the future. Hope that helps!
