Installation error: An error occurred during the installation of assembly ...

After searching for the solution at this site, i've come up empty handed, looks like it's supposed to work..

So when i try to install nitro pdf, i get an error about halfway. it says:

An error occurred during the installation of assembly 'Microsoft.VC80.CRT,version="8.0.5027.4053",type="win32",publicKeyToken="1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b",processorArchitecture="x86". Please refer to help and support for more information. HRESULT: 0x80070002.

Running on an asus T101mt touchscreen netvertible with 2gb ram, 1.6 intel atom processor and 32bit windows 7 home premium .

would like to use your software for some major pdf readage. (adobe's too slow and i got bored of foxit reader.)

Hi all,

Nitro users have tried the solution below and were successful (reference article here)! This error message generally indicates that registry values and system files that Nitro requires to install are corrupted and are in need of repair.

Please follow the steps to resolve this issue:
1. Download the "dotnetfx_cleanup_tool.zip" by clicking here
2. Extract the file on to your local folder and run the "cleanup_tool.exe" executable.
3. Under "Product to cleanup" select either the following:
- ".NET Framework - All Versions (Windows 7)" if you are running Windows 7.
- ".NET Framework - All Versions (Windows Vista and Windows Server 2008)" if you are running Windows Vista.
- ".NET Framework - All Versions" if you are running Windows XP.
4. Click Cleanup Now.

5. Let the clean up process complete and restart your machine if prompted. Try Nitro' installation again.

If you have recently updated your machine via the Windows Update, you will need to restart your machine before installing Nitro Reader. This will resolve the issue.

Well how about that..

This error seems to be triggered from something to do with windows update in windows 7. (or so i am guessing..) Upon restarting my computer, it said it had to modify some things in windows before it would shut down. When it was finished, i tried to install nitro reader again.. Lowe and behold, it installed and now nitro reader works.. *Shruggs* oh well. sorry for this waste of time and space.

I was wondering if the Nitro PDF reader techies could help. I have tried installing Nitro PDF reader 64bit version and I keep getting an installation error. The installation program goes so far, and then at the end I get the following:
"An error occurred during the installation of assembly 'Microsoft.VC80CRT,version="8.0.50727.4053",type="win32",publicKeyToken="1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b",processor Architecture="x86".Please refer to Help and Support for more information. HRRESULT: 0x80070002."

My system specs are:
Windows 7 Professional 64bit (totally default settings for the most part)
AMD Athlon 64 Processor 3200+ 2.06ghz
2GB DDR RAM
Nvidia Geforce 9500GT
I have Adobe Reader 9 installed.
Any help would be appreciated, regards

When installing, I received the following error message from the installer -

NITRO PDF READER SETUP
An error occurred during the installation of assembly 'Microsoft.VC80.MFC, version "8.0.50727.4053", type="win32",publicKeyToken="1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b",processor Architecture="x86". Please refer to Help and Support for more information. HRESULT: 0x80070424.

My system is an HP w1907 desktop running windows home version of Vista 64bit.

sent by Jim King of INACS, Inc. in Austin, Texas. 1-512-425-0822. I hate to say it but your website stinks. It gives no phone number in which to speak to a human being and I have tried twice now to install your product with no success. I expect a phone call from your company within the next 2 business days, or I will send a blistering letter to komando.com, where I got the link to your site, and complain loudly about the inability to get an installer that works! Please contact me immediately and help me out with this problem. I tried downloading the C++ installer and it did not help.

  Wow, calm down man.. this software is provided free of charge. not something you should be shaking a fist at..in fact the terms of use are at your own risk and if it breaks anything (highly unlikely, but .. you know.. people have tried to push blame..), The creators of Nitro PDF are under no liability. If you want to get angry for paid products, go use adobe reader or something.. Regardless, What fixed this problem for me was a simple windows update and a restart after said updates were done installing. Make sure you update all of your critical windows updates and see if that fixes it. I hope you (and the rest of the people getting this problem) resolve this soon. =) Good Luck! ~PtK

try the steps below:

1. Download and install WinRAR.
2. Right-click the iTunesSetup.exe icon and choose "Open with WinRAR".
3. Once the EXE is opened in WinRAR, double-click AppleApplicationSupport.msi and when the installer window is open choose "Repair".
4. Done! You can now run iTunes normally.

I think you may have posted this in the wrong place.. this topic is about installing nitro pdf reader and the problems people have come accross with said software.. by the way, Winrar is outdated. you should try one of the following free zip programs that have (Arguably/margainly) better compression: pea zip: http://www.peazip.org/index.html or 7-zip: http://www.7-zip.org/ .   "Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Service Pack 1 Redistributable Package ATL Security Update"
  from

Does anyone have a definitive solution to this problem yet? I tried installing months ago and got the same error message most other people have mentioned. I tried again today and still had the same error message and Nitro wouldn't install.
My computer has been turned on and off and been rebooted many times since then.
Windows update seems to be working perfectly normally. I have encountered problems with other programs regarding the C++2005 thing before. However I have C++ 2010 re-distributable installed and C++2005 re-distributable refuses to install now.
I don't understand what C++ 2005 has to do with anything, when it's not a standard part of a Windows 7 installation.
Is there anyway I can get Nitroreader to work?

My system:
Windows 7 professional
Athlon X2 4400+ (2.2ghz)
2GB DDR RAM
500GB SATA Hard-drive
Geforce 9500GT 1GB graphics card

  Hi Gufron - generally it means that Windows Updates have been partially installed and your computer needs a reboot to complete the installation. The partially installed Windows Updates are conflicting with what Nitro is also trying to install -- if this is not the case you can manually install the required update from http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/...

READ MY STORY,

i used ccleaner for 1 year, it help me always.
but there's one thing i cant understand why..

"error 1935 or anything like above" when try to install some application (in my case corel, nero, microsoft games).

i search in google and try every solve especially use register cleaner but it doesn't work anymore.

yesterday,after 1 year, i reinstall my windows.
the first to install for me is antivirus and ccleaner doing some fix registry.
after that i install microsoft office 2010 and receive ERROR 1935!

WHAT! i never had this problem before when instaling office 2010.

then i reinstall my windows again and just install antivirus not ccleaner. i dont receive error 1935 again.
every software i got error 1935 from before now it can be install in my windows ESPECIALLY NITRO PDF!

after i read every article about it, i know there's two problem
1. Ms. VC redist
2. Ms. Net framework

you must repair or renew it with windows update or you can download it in microsoft website..

USE NITRO PDF GUYS!!!
