I am trying to find within the forum, but have been unsuccessful, the ability to utilize a [.vbs] or [.bat] to do multiple steps, one of which will be to push files to the FreePrimoPDF creator app I just downloaded. However, I have not seen that this option is available and wanted to know if I am missing something. I have CALLed the app and tried various command line prompts, all of which fail. So in lieu of me continually trying to do these actions, I might as well ask if it is even possible.
Thank you in advance!

I want to use command line to use OCR to convert a PS file into a pdf file. Do you know how to write the command line?
Lets say for example something like this
nitropdf.exe source.ps to newfile.pdf language:french etc etc.

The NitroPDF command line switch /cv allows automatic conversion from Word files into pdf. I would appreciate if also password protection (although a bit dubious) and certification were possible through command line without interaction.

Hi, I have roughly 100,000 single page PDFs which I need to organise into booklets of 20-100 pages each, a total of around 2,500 PDF booklets :-|
I've tried all the variations of the knowledge base article on creating PDFs from the command line that I can think of without success.
Could someone please tell me if this is possible and if so what is the command syntax ?
Thanks
Mark

I definitely would have great use for command line control of OCR when converting images to PDF. I'd like to streamline my handling of paper documents at home, just being able to put them in my scanner and press a button in order to end up with an OCR-processed PDF file in my document archive.
At the moment, I only get images in a particular folder; then I have to process them manually (done using ABBYY FineReader). If Nitro PDF would include command-line OCR control, that would certainly justify purchasing the OCR option and switching entirely to Nitro PDF (today I have Nitro PDF Professional for other PDF editing needs).

Can I use nitroPDF to generate PDFs using VBA scripts without any user interaction required? I have an entire document generation piece written using VBA and would like to integrate pdf creation into the process.
thanks

Hello Sid,
This would be an API/SDK item. I've added you to the idea/feature request for it.

Add a command interface to the reader. For example, the program could be invoked by a command line such as:
NitroPdf /L Filex.pdf /F /R-90
This would invoke NitroPdf to start by loading file FIlex.pdf in full screen mode and rotated -90 degrees. The command line interface should also be able to read a command file. For example,
NitroPdf /C CommandFile.txt
In this case, NitroPdf would start and execute the commands in a separate text file called CommandFile.txt.

Hi Everyone,
good evening to you all, The problem i am currently facing is that one of our systems generates in reports in PDF Form, i need these in Excel and due to the quantity also in an automated process.
So at best the generated report is saved into a share from there these reports should be then automtically be transformed into excel and be saved into another share, i believe this should be possible via command line.
Lots of thanks for any updates on this, best wishes from here and a great evening/day to you all,

We are a Global software company delivering solutions that create PDF files
We are evaluating tools to recomend to our cusotmers base as part of our product range. This is to allow our customers to convert PDF to Word, we realise they we would need to buy Nitro to do this
Nitro has a command line interface but you have to manually close Nitro, this stops automation, before we discount Nitro is there an option or a version that get round this.
Note we work with many other companies in partnership to deliver solutions to mutually assist sales if that helps at all .

Well, one more question, while the PDF original format is A1 size, how to perfectly fix 50% so as to print A3 size without border? (Printer setting is correct)
In other words, is there any way to control the print scale, and also the area for printing? -
-
Hi anthonyhaha, unfortunately precise scaling is not currently possible. I suggest creating a new idea on here (if one doesn't already exist!) and we can look at this for a future release. There are a number of updates we would like to make Nitro more useful in Engineering/Design disciplines where precise scaling and measurements are required - precise scaling would fit in perfectly!
