I tried to download the free nitro pdf reader, but I have a 64-bit system. Can you provide the link for the free download for my system?
Thank you.

Hey Grace,
Sorry you're getting a little frustrated.
If you go here:
http://www.nitropdfreader.com/download/
You should be able to select the 64 bit version and then download it.
A little confused on the "trial" comment, Nitro Reader is a FREE product.
We are in a BETA phase right now but that's about it for different types of versions.
Please email me separately offline if you still continue to have issues, that way I can do some investigating with you to see where the issue may lie.
You can email at: team@nitroreader.com
Just put attn: David in the subject line.
Cheers,
David

Hi Grace,
We seem to be having an issue if you use Google's Chrome.
If you clear your cache that should do it, if you still are having issues, then please use FireFox to get the 64 bit installer.
Sorry for the extra steps!
Cheers,

PeterT September 06, 2010 13:52David; what you might like to do is to point out (either on the web site OR in the installer) that the installation of the 64 bit Nitro PDF Reader to the "Program Files (x86)" location IS correct . The only reason for the 64 bit version is the requirement that the printer driver be 64 bit.EditDeleteRemove

Greg - that's what I am looking for is a link to the 64 bit version. If you have one, let me know. (Do not include one that is a trial version.)

Hi Grace
This is a problem with an incorrect link - it referenced nitropdf.com/download instead of nitropdfreader.com/download.
This will be rectified in the next update. In the meantime, please download the 64-bit version from:
http://www.nitropdfreader.com/download/
Cheers

I downloaded this version, but it attempts to install not in the "Program FIles" but in "Program Files (x86)" which is usually reserved for 32-bit programs. Bug?

Here is a mirror from download.com (CNET) if you have problems with using http://www.nitropdfreader.com/download/ (which seems to be working here) :
32 bit- http://download.cnet.com/Nitro-PDF-Re...
64 bit- http://download.cnet.com/Nitro-PDF-Re... -

The issue is not with the download for me. I have the file labeled 64, but during the install it does not point to the proper directory (not sure if it matters) for x64 programs.

this happened to me also but it seems to have installed OK

I'm seeing this same thing. When I run the program and check it with Sysinternals Process Explorer it shows as being a 32-bit program.

I did not continue the install, but I am sure it would have continued fine. My response was to point out the bug to the developers.

Is there a link for the PDF Editor and not just the Reader for 64-bit? Thanks – Mike
