Default to "fit width" not working

I changed my preferences to default to "fit width", but most if not all of the files still open as "fit page"

Dear Steve,

What is the document properties say for initial view?

It could be file specific.

  The 'center on window' box is checked but the whole section is greyed out so I can't change it. This PDF was created with the nitro printer driver.

I'm pretty sure Acrobat Reader has (or had) and override so that settings within the document, such as how it is initially viewed, can be ignored. Perhaps Nitro PDF Reader needs this as well.

I'm having the same problem. I was hoping it would be corrected in version 2. It doesn't matter how I set the default zoom on the general setting page. It always defaults to full page.

  If a PDF file's Initial View settings have been set to anything other than Automatic, then when the PDF is opened in PDF viewers, the Initial View settings will override whatever you have set in the Preferences.
  
  On a PDF that you are experiencing this issue with, can you go into the PDF's Properties, then under the Initial View, check what has been set?

My problem was when I created the PDF files using NitroPdf. I went to the properties of the PDF Printer under Devices and Printers and it was set to "fit page". I did not see any way to allow the reader override these setting like an automatic so I set it to "Page Width".. Now when I create the PDF files they always default to Page Width which is how I want it. Is there suppose to be a way to set NitroPDFso that when created it can be viewed using the preferences settings?

  Thank you for bringing up an oversight within our Nitro PDF Creator.
  It appears that the ability to set the Page Layout and Zoom option to Automatic in the Nitro PDF Creator was left out.
  
  I have passed this onto our development for inclusion in future builds of Nitro PDF Reader.

  I've just set Nitro PDF to default to page width view and it's not working for me either. I'm really happy with Nitro PDF otherwise but this really needs to be resolved - especially since the topic was initially brought up a year ago. Please fix this!
