The look and feel of different software from different software companies drives me crazy. Each time I buy a new piece of software, I see this new, jazzy-looking interface that I have to relearn.
Unlabeled icons are a part of this. I think they should be a big "No-No". Hovering doesn't cut it, because there is a wait fotr the explanation to come up when hovering.
My suggestion to every independent software compan, including yours, is to offer, under "Options" or "Preferences", an opportunity to select a simple interface that simulates the classic look and feel of Win 98, or if you want to get fancy, other, newer versions of Windows.
Winword has done this for years, when they offered a menu set that feels like like Wordperfect in each new version of Word for Windows.
Why software designers think that their own reincarnation of menus without text is fun for us users, is absolutely beyond me. All it does for me is aggravate me!!!

Sorry Jim, we're sticking with the Office 2010 Ribbon interface for now.
However we should have labels for all icons - can you please let me know which are unlabeled?
